"Let go your earthly tether.

Enter the void.

Empty, and become wind" - LoK

PLEASE NOTE: THIS DESIGN IS A ONE-OF-A-KIND AND WILL NOT BE MADE AGAIN ONCE SOLD

Both the human figure and metal have nearly infinite possibilities. With the ability to manipulate stainless steel into any form, anything can be made! This design is a great example of both human anatomy and metal manipulation. Many hours of effort went into every ounce of metal placement so that this sculpture ultimately balances on a singular polished point while also taking the shape of an athletic female.

I love the subtle play of gravity that her ponytail creates. You’d be surprised how difficult it is to properly shape and place just right to look natural!

I love improving both my metal manipulation skills with welding and practicing exaggerated human form. Making this gymnast girl was a challenge in and of itself. However, even after her body was complete, I had to make two nearly identical shapes from the same type of stainless steel so that she could finally untether herself, find her balance and become weightless.
