This is my second searching satellite and it is nearly three times larger than my first one! I love how uniquely this one moves. It spins and searches for alien communication while sitting on your desk :)
The dish is made of mild steel and has been heated and quenched in oil to achieve the blackened look which also protects from rust. Everything else including the little "wires" are completely stainless steel!
The dish is about 3 inches in diameter and the counterweights are 9 inches apart.
