Schwinn Bicycle - #001/001 Stationary Artwork
I spent many hours on this bike which I modeled after a classic Schwinn. I carefully cut and shaped the wheels and set each spoke in its place. Every piece of the bike was cut, bent, shaped and welded in place by hand. I even managed to make the front wheel/handlebars freely pivot!
Each weld had to be re-polished as I progressed to maintain the cleanliness of the bike. Everything is made from stainless steel and polished except for the tires which are mild steel and will slowly weather over time for a cool effect!
This is meant to be a unique sculpture for a desk or centerpiece on a table. Perfect for biking enthusiasts and collectors! This is a sculpture that will not be made again; once it is sold, it's gone for good!
